Alejandro Flores Horta es un artista originario de la Ciudad de México, ha experimentado con el esmalte al fuego sobre metal desde 1985, permitiéndole crear obras con texturas y colores únicos, que reflejan su estilo personal y su visión del mundo. Con licenciatura en Artes Visuales de la Academia de San Carlos ENAP, Flores Horta ha desarrollado su carrera como artista y académico enfocado en el esmalte vítreo.
Su obra se caracteriza por tener una iconografía personal entre lo neofigurativo y expresionista en un contexto urbano, retratando al individuo, a la sociedad y al caos en sus pinturas, esculturas y objetos. La obra de Flores Horta se ha exhibido en más de 15 exposiciones individuales en lugares como el metro de la Ciudad de México, la Facultad de Artes y Diseño plantel Xochimilco y Academia de San Carlos, Casa de Lago y el Centro Cultural Ollin Yoliztli. También ha participado en más de 20 exposiciones colectivas y bienales internacionales en Chile y España. Ha sido publicado en la revista Glass on Metal.
Alejandro Flores Horta es reconocido por su trabajo en esmalte al fuego sobre metal, y ha sido invitado como ponente en el Primer Congreso Nacional de Esmalte al fuego sobre metal por la Facultad de Artes de la UAQ y al Segundo Congreso Internacional de Esmalte al fuego sobre metal. Además, ha impartido el Taller de Experimentación Visual a Través del Esmalte Vítreo en la FAD durante 34 años, dando continuidad al taller fundado en 1964 por la maestra Ana Teresa Fierro.

Alejandro Flores Horta is an artist from Mexico City, who has been experimenting with enamel on metal since 1985, allowing him to create works with unique textures and colors that reflect his personal style and worldview. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts from the San Carlos Academy ENAP, Flores Horta has developed his career as both an artist and academic focused on vitreous enamel.
His work is characterized by a personal iconography that lies between neo-figurative and expressionist in an urban context, portraying the individual, society, and chaos in his paintings, sculptures, and objects. Flores Horta's work has been showcased in more than 15 solo exhibitions in venues such as the Mexico City subway, the Faculty of Arts and Design Xochimilco campus and San Carlos Academy, Casa de Lago, and the Ollin Yoliztli Cultural Center. He has also participated in more than 20 group exhibitions and international biennials in Chile and Spain. His work has been published in the Glass on Metal magazine.
Alejandro Flores Horta is recognized for his work in enamel on metal and has been invited as a speaker at the First National Congress of Enamel on Metal by the Faculty of Arts of the UAQ and the Second International Congress of Enamel on Metal.
